SCENIC CARPENTRY
Though lighting and electrics are my primary focuses, I also have a passion for scenic carpentry.
IN THE NEXT ROOM - PIANO
I gutted and rebuilt an early 20th Century player piano, and replaced the keyboard with an electric Clavinova. This allowed the scenic designer to have a piano that matched the set and looked period appropriate, and the sound designer could hide a small speaker inside the desk.

GABRIEL: A POLEMIC - DINNER TABLE AND BENCH
With a team, I custom built a dinner table and bench to match a coffee table the designer liked, but with a different finish that better matched the dining room chairs.

JONES THEATER - DECK AND REVOLVE
A partner and I spent a month of our summer tearing up the original floor, and built a new, raised stage with a 24 foot revolve at center. The revolve is now a permanent installation shown here in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

IN THE NEXT ROOM - PLATFORMS AND SCENIC PAINTING
I worked with two partners over our winter break to build a 12'X24'X14" platform composed of stud walls and stock platforms. I also took part in the massive undertaking that was painting this set; the floors, walls, and most of the furnitures were custom paint jobs.
